Minerals: natural substances that we value because we can use them for something.

Metallic minerals: metals such as gold, nickel, and iron ore.
Fuel minerals: are fossil fuels, such as oil, natural gas, and coal.
Structural minerals: non-metallic minerals, such as cobalt, sand, and gravel.
